Welcome to the website of Lodge Plantation Glasgow, No. 581 on the roll of the Grand Lodge of Scotland.
Our lodge was constituted on the 6th of February 1876, and originally met in the Plantation area of Glasgow. A brief history of the lodge can be found on this site. Today we still meet in the South West district of the city, and the lodge retains strong links with the area and local community.
The Lodge meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays from September to May and on the first Monday of June. Regular meetings of the lodge are held at the Masonic Centre, 101, Clifford Street, Ibrox, Glasgow G51 1QP and commence at 7.30pm. A full syllabus of our meetings can be found on this site. As always visiting brethren are made most welcome into the lodge.
This will be another busy and challenging year for the Lodge, and I would like to thank the brethren of Lodge Plantation No. 581, for their continued support in our work and activities. In particular I would like to pass my best wishes to those absent brethren, who find that due to circumstances their attendance at the Lodge is limited. I hope we will see you back with us soon.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our site, and we hope you find it interesting and informative. We hope to post regular updates of lodge activities on the site, so please visit us again soon.
Finally, I would like to wish all brethren viewing our site every success in the year 2012 and hope to welcome you into the lodge in the near future.
James T. Shields R.W.M.
